Students' Papers Published in Discovery

Thais Carvalho and Ashley Jones each had papers published in the current issue of Discovery, a student journal of Bumpers College. Papers submitted are invited from undergraduate students conducting research in cooperation with a faculty mentor in Bumpers College.
Thais' paper is titled "History of development and characterization of the U.S. blackberry market." It was co-authored by John Clark, Professor in the Department of Horticulture, and Michael Thomsen, Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. Thais is an international student from Brazil and is currently a graduate student in Agricultural Economics at the University of Arkansas. At the time of writing the paper, she was a senior undergraduate student.
Ashley Jones' selected paper is titled "Developing enterprise budgets for sustainable school gardens: Service learning in a global context." Her paper was co-authored by Jennie Popp, associate professor in the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness department. Ashley Jones completed her undergraduate degree in agricultural economics and is currently a graduate student at Kansas State University.
