Background
A native of Kentucky, Dr. Stark has a 9 month full-time teaching appoint with the UAM Division of Agriculture and receives a UAM supplemental summer appointment for research and extension in cooperation with the UA Southeast Research & Extension Center. Dr. Stark’s academic responsibilities at the University of Arkansas at Monticello include advising most agribusiness option students in the agriculture major and teaching the introductory course in Agriculture Economics. Dr. Stark came to UAM in August, 1996 after a three and a half year research appointment with the University of Georgia's Coastal Plain Experiment Station in Tifton, Georgia. Dr. Stark and his wife, Teresa, have a son, Tim, and a daughter, Tina.

Courses Taught
Dr. Stark teaches upper level courses in Contract Marketing & Futures Trading, Agricultural Finance, Farm Management, Agricultural Policy, and other agricultural economics subjects. He also taught agricultural economics courses at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College while in Tifton and taught Farm Management as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Kentucky prior to his Ph.D. studies.
